Cleaning Your Car

How to clean your car with soft polishing cloths and terry towels, using wiping rags, a easy system and some trade secrets.

  • The more often you clean your car the easier it is to keep clean.
  • You will need a good supply of water, a soft lint free cloth such as the World Of Wipers  7914 Diaper Wipers or the 7012 Smooth White Jersey Knits, also a 7924 Terry Bath Towel (for drying), and a good car wash soap.  Do not use dish soap as they can damage paint.
  • Rinse the entire car to remove loose dirt.
  • Wash and rinse one section at a time from top to bottom.
  • Be sure to rinse the cloth often to prevent dirt from scratching the car’s surface.
  • Use plenty of water to wash away the dirt.
  • For wheels, use a spray on cleaner and be sure to read instructions carefully.
  • For the showroom look, you may want apply tire dressing to shine up the tires.  Again, read the directions on the bottle carefully.
  • At least twice a year, you should wax your car.  At least once before winter and then in the spring.
  • When waxing, make sure the paint surface is cool and not in direct sunlight.
  • Apply was with sponge and remove with your World Of Wipers Terry Towel.
